According to the Code rural, private fences, a planting distance of 50cm from the property line must be respected.
For high-stem trees (more than 2m in height), you will need to plant more than two meters from this limit. The hedge located on the property line is considered detached. The maintenance of this line is thus detached to the common expenses unless the two owners has waived his right to joint ownership.
